Proctor & Gamble Recalls 32 Hair Products with Benzene

In November of 2021, consumer giant Proctor & Gamble announced a product recall of Old Spice and Secret-branded aerosol deodorant because they contained the cancer causing chemical Benzene.

Now comes news that 32 of Proctor and Gamble’s (P&G) dry shampoo and conditioners also have been found to include this deadly chemical. These products have been recalled by the company and consumers are asked to dispose of them immediately.

The Federal Drug Administration has shared the complete list of recalled hair products.  If you or someone you love has used any of the shampoos or conditioners on the list, you may be eligible to participate in legal action against P&G.

Consumers trust that the products they are purchasing are safe and effective. When that is not the case, the manufacturer often will not do the right thing, leaving the consumer feeling they don’t have any recourse.
